Step-by-Step Instructions

1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Cook the lasagne pasta according to the package instructions and set aside.
2
In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
3
Add the tomato sauce to the pan and stir to combine. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4
In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and carrots. Drizzle with vinegar and toss to combine.
5
To assemble the lasagne, spread a layer of tomato sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange 4 lasagne pasta sheets on top of the sauce, overlapping them slightly to cover the entire surface.
6
Spread half of the mozzarella cheese over the pasta, followed by half of the parmesan cheese. Repeat the layers, starting with the pasta, then the sauce, and finally the remaining cheese.
7
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
8
Remove the lasagne from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before serving. Serve hot, paired with a side of coleslaw and a glass of red wine.
